About The Event
Do you suffer from “ophidiophobia?” Does it affect the amount of time you spend in your garden? Serpents have been maligned for centuries by humans and always seem to be on the losing end of the equation. Join naturalist April Claus to discuss the reasons why snakes are important to humans. They could just save your life! This program will introduce you to the most common species here in western Pennsylvania and help you sharpen your identification skills. Live snakes (non-venomous) will be on hand to touch and observe…from a distance if needed.
