About The Event
Join naturalist April Claus as she introduces you to things that creep and slither at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. This hands-on interactive program introduces you to the more common reptiles and amphibians of Pennsylvania! Learn how to identify frogs and toads by their call, examine touchable models and learn how to identify the venomous snakes that live in our area. Meet and touch some LIVE snakes, toads, turtles, and salamanders! Bring your boots and be ready get dirty as we search different habitats for “herptiles." You will be amazed at the important role these animals play in our local ecosystem! This program is geared towards families with children 7 years of age or up. Children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
